Climate Communications in schools (2018 –Dec 2020):

The project engages Children in schools as future leaders and equip them with knowledge and skills on climate change impact, mitigation and adaptation. The children are also engaged and mobilize the children and youth proactively in climate change adaptation and mitigation issues to effect behavior change and give them the initiative as change agents and supplement the curriculum by providing hands-on and practical approaches through project based learning as tool in fighting against climate change.

The project works with children and youths in 60 selected schools in Wakiso district, and gets them engaged at an early age 9-13 in primary schools and 14-20years in secondary schools in stewarding their environment and natural resources and this will influence the changing of the mindset, attitude and character formation of children and youth in schools to address climate change and natural resource management.

 
The project engages the children and youths in schools to equip them with knowledge and skills, also train children and youths in 60 selected schools in Wakiso district in management of grafted fruit trees nurseries and raising tree seedlings, making composite manure from wastes at schools which can be used in gardens, Management of school gardens with a purpose of getting practical skills in Agriculture, forestry, soil fertility, soil erosion, water conservation, farm economics, farm tools and this will get them engaged at an early age in stewarding their environment and natural resources .
